Open Yard weekend, 23-25 August 2019
All Hallberg-Rassy models will be on display during the Open Yard weekend!
2019 is the 26th year in a row for Scandinavia's largest sailboat show, the Open Yard. Other yacht manufacturers, boat dealers and relevant boat accessories exhibitors are invited to show boats and equipment during this weekend. There will be both monohulls and multihulls from 5-19 m. This is the only boat show in the world where you can see boat production in the making. We have real palms and a Caribbean
menu.

Pre-premiere in production for the all-new Hallberg-Rassy 40C
There will be a pre-premiere for the first boat under construction at Scandinavia’s largest sailboat show, Open Yard in Ellös on island Orust, 23-25 August 2019.

Open Yard in upbeat mood
The Open yard weekend gets bigger, below are some good news for 2019:
- 15 new exhibitors who were not here last year
- More boats on display than last year, totally 80 boats
- More exhibitor tents than last year, 6 new tent sections
- More boats under contstruction than last year
- Completely new dock in the eastern part of the marina
- There will be well maintained classic boats, not for sale, on show as well
- Hotel Sjögården / Verhas, across the street, will be
freshly renovated for over 2 MEUR, with restaurant and bar
Evening entertainment with live music both Friday and Saturday night at Sjögården across the street

There will be two pre-owned Hallberg-Rassy´s for sale on display during the Open yard weekend. One 48 Mk II and one 64.

Bluewater lecture at Open Yard

As the tradition has it, there will be an interesting lecture on Saturday evening at the Open Yard weekend 24 August 2019. The lecture will be held in English by Marco Thyssen and Laura Braive sailing a Hallberg-Rassy 53 "Ngahue IV".

Free ARC+ support for Hallberg-Rassy yachts 2019
Hallberg-Rassy provides free ARC+ support for Hallberg-Rassy yachts. This is the 20th consecutive year such support is offered.
The support includes key function inspection onboard and helpful advice is given. Our support will be available on Gran Canaria Sunday 3 November until Friday 8 November 2019.
In recent years several Hallberg-Rassys won their category in ARC and ARC+. 23 Hallberg-Rassys between 39 and 64 ft take part in this year's ARC and ARC+, of which 17 in the ARC+.

Next generation engines in Hallberg-Rassy 57 and 64
Volvo Penta is continuously collecting experiences from their products. The experience after more than 100 000 units built of the D4/D6 engines, has led to improvements on 75 % of the components.

Premiere for FatFurl XL at Open Yard / Öppet Varv
Now the next step within performance oriented in-mast furling mainsails is introduced: The FatFurl XL will be on display at Scandinavia’s largest sailboat show, the Open Yard / Öppet Varv, 23-25 August in Ellös. It will be installed on the exhibited Hallberg-Rassy 340.
The headboard is now as large as 400 mm. The raoch is even a bit larger than on a standard mainsail to fold on the boom. The backstay is of Dyneema and the boat has a back stay flicker, that provides more space for a
fuller roach.
FatFurl was originally introduced by Hallberg-Rassy in 2012 on Hallberg-Rassy 412 No 001. The boat sailed, and won, her category in the famous Tjörn Runt race, no matter if the time was calculated after handicap or on actual sailed time. This was the first time a boat with in-mast furling won her category in Tjörn Runt, a very demanding race, where all the best local sailors take part.
The new FatFurl XL takes this concept yet another step further.
